Job Description

As Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for providing 3rd line IT systems, cloud and Infrastructure service delivery across the organisation. In this role you will enable the organisation to exploit cloud technology to bothdifferentiate itself and create a source of sustainable competitive advantage working with high-cadence technology services to provide flexibility in a secure and economically viable manner.Client DetailsMichael Page Technology are supporting a leading professional services business based across the UK to support them with the recruitment of a Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Engineer.DescriptionWhat youll be doing As Cloud Platform and Infrastructure Engineer you will be responsible for providing 3rd line IT systems, cloud and Infrastructure service delivery across the organisation. This role will enable the organisation to expolit cloud technology to both differentiateitself and create a source of sustainable competitive advantage. In order to achieve this, you will work with high-cadence technology services such as rapid application deployment/removal, enable big data analytics and machine learning, provide a high degreeof compute flexibility in a secure and economically viable manner. Responsibilities:

  • Support technical, infrastructure and application delivery initiatives.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network and server related issues.
  • Analysis of infrastructure, and capacity planning for future projects/growth.
  • Facilitating meetings with various technical teams and third party vendors.
  • Manage system/application installation, patching, rollouts, releases and upgrades.
  • Manage resources and capacity for BAU activity for new and existing projects.
  • Be responsible for Disaster Recovery across all aspects of Systems and Infrastructure.
  • Provide technical training, support and guidance to 2nd Tier Escalation
  • Drive forward the development of colleagues and the team overall.
  • Own and develop the Active Directory Roadmap.
  • Feed into the PDR process for non-senior engineers
ProfileKey Skills & Experience:
  • A proven track record of design and documentation for systems deployment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows Server, Exchange 2010, Active Directory, Azure, O36
  • Current certification / working towards MCSE, MCSA, or CCNA, CCNP.
  • Good knowledge of SANs and NAS and backup software or Cloud based backup systems.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN, WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and Solar Winds.
  • Virtualization technologies such as Citrix, VMware, Hyper-V, RDS, Terminal Services.
  • Supervisory skills and knowledge-gap identification.
  • Strong management and interpersonal skills
Job OfferSalary:
  • £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
  • Hybrid Working
