As Cloud Data Engineer within the professional services team you will work on the newest and cutting technology stacks in both Azure & AWS. Working for a leading partner in the cloud space, data engineers are at the fulcrum on all the most innovative solutions we build.Ideally you will have a proven track record ofThis position is home based / remote.Cloud Data Engineer - Key Responsibilities * Design, build, test and maintain data pipelines, according to business and technical requirements* Implement secure platforms and software with identity governance in mind.* Play a key role in automation and building industry leading solutions against architectural best practices.* Continually work on improving processes & codebases whilst have active participation in all disciplines of the team, including agile planning sessions.* Take an active role in project definition, assisting client stakeholders with defining acceptance criteria.* Have the ability to propose technical designs and develop integrations.* Deliver data migrations between legacy & modern platforms* Lead technical sessions on projects to articulate solutions to a key audiences.* Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to clients* Design & deliver data warehousing solutions and key data engineering workstreams for any required solution.Cloud Data Engineer - Skills / Person* 3+ years of experience designing and building dynamic production solutions* 3+ years of experience in a Python, SQL, JavaScript in a development environment* Strong proficiency and a track record in data engineering through the use of Python & SQL.* Experience on Spark based platforms (Databricks mainly)* Ability to design & create event driven architectures for any type of solution. Both Batch & realtime is a requirement.* Expertise in Cloud Data Warehouses is a must. Preference is Azure but will welcome AWS too.* Extensive experience of the Microsoft BI stack inclusing SQL Server, SSIS, Power BI.* Experience of AWS stack Lambda, Redshift, S3.* Must be comfortable with datawarehousing methodolgies (Kimball & Inmon)* Experience of using SQL & NoSQL databases* Developing complex APIs on microservice architectures and components.* Working within Agile teams across application development, business applications, data platforms. (Sprint Planning)* A demonstrable understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Agile practices, unit & integration tests and development practices using GitCloud Data Engineer - Desirable Skills * Scala, .NET, Typescript skills is an added bonus.* Experience of working on container based solutions, with knowledge of docker & Kubernetes.* Comfortable managing multiuple enterprise projects across various technologies* Knowledge of IaC with tools such as Terraform & ARM.* Experience of working with Dynamics 365 & power platform technology stacks.Bonus Points* Demonstrable experience of developing for enterprise Machine Learning/AI solutions.* Experience in DB management and optimization* Cloud Data engineering certifications* Cloud Architecture certificationsCloud Data Engineer - Perks* Company pension scheme* Flexible working / holidays* Training and development opportunities.
