Job Description

The Role: I am recruiting a Client Administrator (Technical Administrator / Client Services Assistant, Financial Services) on behalf of Smart Financial Ltd., a highly regarded, well established and ambitious Lifestyle FinancialPlanning firm based in Manchester (Ancoats M4). Working in a small, friendly and collaborative team the successful Client Administrator (Technical Administrator / Client Services Assistant, Financial Services) will support the Client Managers (Financial Planners) by ensuring they have all the requiredinformation to advise their clients and deliver the highest level of customer experience. The Client Administrator (Technical Administrator / Client Services Assistant, Financial Services) will be responsible for liaising with product providers to gather policyinformation and will be confident utilising technology to process this information, ensuring the financial planning service is delivered efficiently and effectively. The business is increasingly utilising emerging Artificial Intelligence technologies to improvetheir client experience and to streamline and systemise support functions. We therefore envisage the role will develop to incorporate increasing levels of client support and technical management, so an aptitude for technology is essential.Salary and Benefits: £25,000 - £33,000 (dependant on experience) + benefits including 22 days holiday + bank holidays + pension + flexible working hours + hybrid working + training + Continued Professional Development.The Person: The successful Client Administrator (Technical Administrator / Client Services Assistant, Financial Services) will pride themselves on their attention to detail, will be highly self-motivated and will have excellent administrativeand customer service skills. They will also be embracing of new technology and keen to harness the efficiencies and opportunities this brings to an evolving business. As the business continues to expand their will be plenty of opportunities for continued learningand professional development. Financial services experience is not required, but a willingness and aptitude to learn is essential.Client Administrator (Technical Administrator / Client Services Assistant, Financial Services), responsibilities include:

  • Develop relationships with policy providers, gathering relevant product information and dealing with all associated paperwork.
  • Fully utilise office technology to help streamline processes and enhance efficiencies.
  • Set up new client files on the CRM system.
  • Develop relationships with clients, updating them regarding progress with policy providers and support the team with delivering the highest level of customer experience.
  • Review and update client and compliance documents such as fact finds, attitude to risk profiles and client agreements.
  • Collate all necessary information in advance of client review meetings, prepare annual review packs and update Client Managers of progress.
  • Chase and submit information arising from meetings to policy providers.
  • Chase and send transfers and completed applications to implement policies.
  • Update and store all files and client documents in shared files and client services email as appropriate, fully utilising office technology (SharePoint, Microsoft 365 etc.)
  • General financial planning administration and client liaison as required.
Client Administrator (Technical Administrator / Client Services Assistant, Financial Services), skills and experience required:
  • Administration and customer service skills, ideally gained in a professional services environment.
  • Intelligent and technically astute, with a high level of numeracy and IT skills, keen to learn, happy to challenge and improve processes and embracing of emerging technologies.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a great eye for detail and the persistence necessary to chase policy providers and obtain documentation as required.
  • A confident manner with excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • A proactive, team player with a "can do" attitude who is happy working independently when required and will participate fully in the successful operation of the business.
