Cleaning & Environmental Area Manager - North/North West

Job Description

Purpose of the RoleThe general management, compliance and site support of the cleaning and environmental services teams within your designated area. Ensuring that every member of the team within this area is operating within the regulations of the Savills Quality ManagementSystem.Supporting the sites in delivering enhanced standards through subject matter expertise, training guidance and action planning.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance health checks are completed on each property on a regular basis and any action points are raised with the appropriate manager, this is to include evening and weekend checks when necessary.Ensure that the cleaning and environmental personnel within the designated sies are carrying out their roles as instructed by the site and documented through the site assignment instructions, and complying with the company Health and Safety and cleaningand en policies.Ensuring cleaning and environmental teams and sites are working in line with the cleaning & environmental services Operations Manual and inline with our ISO9001 quality management policies and any other relevant central policies and procedures.Effectively deal with any issues concerning conduct or operation of any member of the cleaning and environmental team as required including investigation, disciplinary and grievance.Support in the mobilisation of new properties.Ensure accurate cost models are issued and signed off by surveyors.Support in the undertaking of TUPE consultations [in conjunction with internal HR team]Attendance at new properties on day one.Adherence to all contract deliverables.Ensure all new properties that are mobilised into Savills inhouse are on the roster management system from day one and that training has been provided. Also ensure that uniform and equipment has been ordered where required.Ensure all sites are using the National Operations Centre and provide support in the booking of cover.In conjunction with property management, strict control of authorised overtime across the designated area.Ensure all Savills lone workers are identified and incorporated into the National Operations Centre lone working system.To produce regular update reports to the Associate Director of Cleaning and Environmental services on the cleaning functions and related issues at sites.Monitor vancancies and support sites in recruiment where required.Work with our support agency service partners and conduct regular KPI reviews.Ensure that sites complete all outstanding points from audits in the required timescale.Explore innovation and sustainability oppotunities and ensure a consistent approach to our central ESG agenda.Ensure communication with sites is maintained to a high standard.Drive a community working culture throughout the sites where possible, sharing best practise.Support / conduct regional cluster calls with sites in conjunction with ADC&ES ManagerThe above is not an exhaustive list of duties.Skills, Knowledge and Experience Proven interpersonal skills, with at least 2-years experience in the industry.Proven TUPE process knowledge desirable.High level of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft OfficeAbility to be self-motivated and work under pressure to balance conflicting deadlines is essentialExcellent customer service skillsExperience and ability to carry out site cleaning and environmental audits and reviews.Understanding of risk assessments, COSHH assessments.Familiar with the BICS standards of training.Working Hours -40 hours
