Job Description

Our mission is simple to help the world Love Mondays.Every week, thousands of people across the UK start a new joband its our job to help them get there.REED is a specialist provider of permanent, contract, temporary and outsourced recruitment solutionsWe require Civilian Investigators to cover an existing workload within a major police force, based in ManchesterThis is an interim position for an initial 6-9 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.Role Purpose:

  • To provide effective investigatory support within CID through witness statement taking, contacting victims, and making third party material requests.
  • The post holder will be responsible for preparing and providing evidence to Officers from reviewing and collating CCTV, digital media, and mobile devices as required to facilitate the investigation of offences and pursue enquiries along with submittingcasework within specified time limits.
  • The successful candidate will work between core business hours of 7am - 7pm.
Skills required to be successful in the role:
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent planning skills.
  • Excellent IT skills and a good working knowledge of MS packages.
  • Experience of working as part of a successful team.
  • Tier 1 Interview Training with pass requirement and certificate awarded.
  • Investigatory training - PIP2 or PIP1 accreditation (current or historic) or equivalent experience.
