Job Description

Chemical Regional Sales Specialist (AH003)Location: Covering the whole of the North of England & Scotland£35K - £45K Basic (dependent upon experience) + 15% OTE Bonus + Company Car/Allowance + Private Healthcare + 5% Matched Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays + BenefitsThe CompanyAre you currently working for a company who have been instrumental in the fight against Covid-19 Who are one of the biggest players in the chemical sales space If not, then let’s speak!We’re currently recruiting for a Regional Sales role in Chemicals for a globally known organisation, with real gravitas in the chemical sales space and a presence worldwide. They are an organisation who place a strong emphasis on employee training and development, and with the business continuing to grow, this will only bring about more exciting opportunities for the right person.The PositionAs a Chemical Regional Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Frequently travelling around the North of England and Scotland to sell a myriad of chemicals to a range of markets
  • Targeting markets such as research, academia, biotechnology, industrial chemical and pharmaceutical
  • Travelling to customer sites to develop and nurture existing relationships
  • Taking responsibility for the whole product range, identifying and targeting opportunities for sales
  • Spending 70% of your time developing new business with both end users and channel partners
  • Forging solid relationships with key decision makers including Directors, Technical Managers, Supply Chain and Procurement
  • Handling both technical and commercial enquiries from the customer base
  • Identifying and qualifying potential customers and new business opportunities.
  • The PersonDue to the technical nature of the role, a Chemical degree (or equivalent) is essential as is an understanding of a variety of chemicals and their related properties.You will also possess experience selling chemicals to manufacturers or distributors and will be confident in engaging with customers at a multitude of levels.A full driving license is essential. Other key skills include:
  • Self-motivated, driven and ambitious
  • Able to operate autonomously
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, with nights away.
