Job Description

Better Placed are pleased to be working with a Food Production company in Manchester and they are looking for a Category Analyst to join their team!Whats in it for you

The Role:As the Category Analyst, you will provide reporting, analysis and insights which will shape and support the category management activities across the business. You will uncover actionable insights for range reviews, customer meetings, NPD planning and goto market plans.
  • Providing regular category reports for use across the business, taking raw data and transforming in Power BI dashboards
  • Using a variety of global reporting platforms: Nielson, Quantium and IRI
  • Proficient in Power Query and ideally Power BI to develop new reporting to suit the needs of different areas across the business
  • On going analysis and interpretation of data to provide meaningful and actionable insights
  • Contributing a strategic category view as well as telling a compelling story using insights
  • Insight driven innovation proposals
  • Strategic category mapping, vision and planning
The Person:
  • Degree educated
  • Has data analysis skills, advanced Excel and proficiency in Power Query is essential
  • Experience in creating Power BI dashboard from raw data is essential
  • Experience in working with large amounts of complex data and information from a variety of sources
  • Experience presenting complex data through written and visual means
  • High attention to detail
  • Effective relationship builder and communicator
  • Has FMCG experience
