Job Description

CAD Technician - CHP / Power GenerationSalary / Package on offer: - Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience) + 25 days holiday plus bank + Private healthcare + Life insurance + Pension + BenefitsLocation: - ManchesterCompany Background:Alecto Recruitment Ltd currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician or Design Engineer to join a leading and well established client of ours who specialise extensively within the Power Generation and Combined Heat and Power (CHP)industry.Job Role:

  • Employed paye position for a CAD Technician based in Manchester, therefore must live within a commutable distance.
  • Responsible for preparing high-quality drawings and technical documentation.
  • Understanding and interpreting technical specifications and drawings.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers, sub-contractors and colleagues to maintain the timely flow of information.
  • Producing and maintaining a library of standard objects and symbols.
  • Responsible for the design of large scale installation and turnkey projects, with our client involved in projects ranging up to MW scale.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in an engineering or construction related industry.
  • Good AutoCAD experience with ideally a minimum of 2 years AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
  • Similar experience as a CAD Technician or Design Engineer, ideally within a related industry such as Construction, Engineering, Power Generation or CHP.
  • Good IT skills.
