Job Description

C# Developer100% remote workingOur client, a leading London based financial services organisation have an opportunity to join their organisation at a key time. This role will play a key role in the technical development and ongoing support and maintenance of our suite of digital propertiesand supporting technical infrastructure. The role also encompasses development of internal and externally facing, responsive Rich UI web applications, web services, windows services and enterprise data layer systems,liaising closely with development managers,project managers, business analysts and UX/UI designers.Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Full-stack development of C# .NET Core, Web API, Angular 9+, HTML, Responsive CSS, web applications, Microservices, web portals and service APIs, windows, and web services.
  • Building and supporting developed software and applications using Microservices and Service Bus architecture in an Azure Cloud environment.
  • Using SQL Server querying, Entity Framework, Graph-QL and an understanding of ETL processes.
  • Maintenance of existing sites and applications implementing incremental changes as required by the business, provide technical advice and support to business analysts.
  • Share in peer code reviews with other developers.
  • Work with the wider development and QA team to evolve the technical strategy to ensure it stays relevant with new tools, technology and approaches.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Strong oral and written communications skills are essential due to the collaborative nature of the role.
  • Proven experience in delivering, from design through to build, a Rich UI client experience via integration of client-side frameworks and server-side services. Ideally, client/server-side knowledge and experience split should be as close to 50/50 as possible.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team.
Knowledge & Skills:
  • Highly proficient in C# .NET Core + framework (Required).
  • Angular 9+, responsive HTML and CSS, JavaScript (Required).
  • RESTful services, Web API, SOAP (Required).
  • Testing techniques; Unit Testing, Mocking etc. (Required).
  • Good understanding of clean coding principles, secure coding, refactoring, and general programming best practice. Familiarity with Site/Application security (Required).
  • Azure Cloud hosted Microservices building/architecture, Service Bus, Docker, SQL (Preferred).
  • Source control systems e.g., TFS, Git (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of Entity Framework and Graph-QL (Preferred).
  • Understanding of Azure DevOps (Preferred).
  • Craft CMS (Preferred).
  • SonarQube (Preferred).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development (Preferred).
