Job Description

***** This role is based in Salzburg Austria near the Alps *****Global Sourcing Buying ManagerAustriaCompetitive salary rising to six figuresThis International retailer is looking for various Buying Managers across multiple product areas including: Confectionery, Fish, Frozen, Bakery, Household, Pet, Paper, Breakfast, Tea, Coffee, Beverages, Outdoor and Brands. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to propel their Buying career and experience working collaboratively with Buyers from around the world.As a Buying Manager you’ll be helping to secure exciting products at the best price and you will be responsible for driving the Buying strategy to ensure the growth in both sales & profitability while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued development in the buying department.As a Global Sourcing Buying Manager some of your duties will include:

  • Build & maintain long lasting relationships with suppliers
  • Working coherently with the national Buyers
  • Negotiate the best possible contracts & terms
  • Analyse sales figures to plan successful future lines with the buying team
  • Constant competitor and price analysis
  • Working cross functionally to ensure quality levels within products
  • Line management responsibilities
    • Key requirements for the role:
  • Proven previous experience as Buyer / Buying Manager within a fast-moving retail environment
  • Experience in Food or FMCG, such as onfectionery, Fish, Frozen, Bakery, Household, Pet, Paper, Breakfast, Tea, Coffee, Beverages, Outdoor and Brands
  • Educated to degree level
  • Previous line management experience
  • Manage workload with good levels of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise / influence effectively at all levels
