Role: BuyerSalary: £22,000 - £28,000 - dependant on experienceLocation: ManchesterType: PermanentOverview2Fawcett are recruiting for a Buyer, to join a company located in Manchester on a Permanent Basis. You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the efficient supply of materials and developing and managing the manufacturing plan.The Role & Responsibilities of Procurement MRP Controller / Buyer- Selecting new products and services and reviewing old ones- Finding the right suppliers- Negotiating prices- Ensuring the products are delivered on time- Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales- Ensuring supply meets the needs of the customer order and / or forecasted demand- To deliver agreed Financial performance in respective areas- Work with all sites to drive improvement- Reacting to any changes in customer demand- Identify pattern, relationships and trends within data- Attending Supplier Visits both in the UK and Abroad- Working closely with other areas of the business including Site Managers, Shipping Department, Production Staff, Customer Service and Supply ChainRequirements of Procurement MRP Controller- A good level of Excel / MS Office- SAP is preferred- Good understanding of ERP Systems- Deliver tasks / projects on time and to budget- Highly numerate and analytical with a strong eye for detail- A good communicator at all levels- Plan your own activities and projects in advance and takes account of possible changing circumstancesWhat will you get in return- Progression Plans including career paths into other areas of the business also- A brilliant place to work- A competitive salaryTypePermanentWorking HoursMonday - Friday - Full Time
