Job Description

I have been briefed on a Womenswear Buyer position for a well known e-tailer in Manchester who is continuing to dominate the market! This is a great opportunity for a Junior Buyer or Buyer who wants to continue to progress their career in an exciting company.Client DetailsMy retail client is a womenswear e-commerce powerhouse based in Manchester focusing on promoting equality and positivity in everything they do. They are champions of leading fashion trends offering fashion forward styles to everyone at an affordable price.They are now looking for a trend led and commercially minded womenswear buyer to join the team. This is a competitive role so apply early!DescriptionKey Responsibilities for the womenswear buyer include:

  • Accountable for your department from product development through to delivery
  • Working closely with the merchandising team to ensure the department strategy is in line with the seasonal SWOT
  • Manage top line supplier relationships and regular supplier meetings
  • Accountable for the department critical path
  • Accountable for weekly department sign offs with senior management
  • Continually sourcing and meeting new suppliers
  • Accountable for team relationships with garment techs, QC and compliance
  • A detailed understanding of all weekly and daily trade reports trading your category on a daily basis
  • Monitor and react to weekly competitor activity and have comp shops presented by team
  • Working alongside design team
