About the RoleThis position is initially for 4 weeks, though there may be scope for extension.This is an exciting opportunity to provide business support to the Councils Community Safety and Anti-Social Behaviour Action Team. You will communicate with members of the public, colleagues, managers and partners to support the effective delivery of communitysafety and anti-social behaviour services.The role involves:* Receiving and triaging reports of anti-social behaviour by telephone, web form and email and taking general enquiries that come into the service.* Taking and producing minutes for multi-agency meetings that may involve confidential and sensitive topics such as crime, domestic violence and abuse and safeguarding, which may involve occasional evening meetings.* Producing letters and other documentation.* Using finance systems to complete purchase requests and raise invoices.* Supporting colleagues and managers in the performance management of the service by analysing and presenting data using a variety of ICT systems* Working with colleagues and team leaders to identify and implement changes to administrative processes as part of our continuous service improvement* Supporting the service to ensure compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).About the CandidateYou can demonstrate that you:* Can work together as part of a team, trusting others working alongside you.* Take time to listen and understand, whether thats a report from the public or a request from a colleague for support with a task.* Are confident to ask questions and clarify information as required.* Are committed to delivering high quality services and takes personal responsibility to produce pieces of work to a very good standard.* Take pride in your work and the work of the team - you are proud and passionate about Manchester!The candidate appointed to this role will need to be flexible and have the ability to plan their own workload and manage their time effectively. This will ensure that timely business support is provided across the service considering the complexity and priorityof the tasks.You will have the ability to take minutes at large multi-agency meetings, summarise the discussion and produce clear actions.Service specific training and support will be provided and the candidate will be keen to learn new skills.About the Team/ ServiceYou will be part of the Community Safety, Compliance and Enforcement Service which sits within the Neighbourhoods Directorate.
