Job Description

The FIRM:A leading, long-established and highly successful boutique professional services firm headquartered in Manchester but with an extensive client portfolio across the UK.The ROLE:An inspirational and purposeful BD & Marketing Manager is required to lead a small team, coach the Partners and help further develop the firms progressive culture, specialist expertise and influence. The role reports directly theManaging Partner and has the potential to a develop into a directorship (Associate Partner status).Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the firms business development and growth strategy
  • Drive new client acquisition and expand the firms sector focus into new markets
  • Work closely with the Partners and key stakeholders to enhance their profile and influence, coordinating their client outreach activity and coaching them as necessary.
  • Manage a full overhaul of the firms online footprint with a website review, digital strategy healthcheck and social media reboot (along with the digital agency partner)
  • Mange the internal and external communications (PR, publicity, advertising, keynote expertise blogs, corporate comms etc)
  • Manage and direct the firms marketing team in addition to external agencies/suppliers (digital, PR, events etc)
  • Occupy a key place on the senior management team, taking ownership of the commercial/BD reports and KPIs, providing Partners with regular updates and performance reviews.
The IDEAL CANDIDATEwill be an experienced, dynamic and highly-motivatedcommercialmarketer with an eye for the bottom line and the ability, appetite and drive to impact it. The regular marketing toolkit (comms, events, website etc) is ofcourse important but this role is mostly about leadership and displaying commercial impetus as an Influencer (coach/catalyst) for the firms Partners. To be considered you must therefore be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years successful experience ina similar trailblazing, bottom-line driven marketing role, ideally (but not necessarily) within professional services. Strong candidates from other B2B sectors will be considered on merit. The crucial must have requirements are an infectious personality,presence, drive, commercial nous and leadership quality.This is a rare and exceptional opportunity for a BD/Marketing thoroughbred or, perhaps, an up-and-coming rising star to embrace a career-defining challenge.
