Business Development Manager - Surfacing & Civil Engineering Job Title: Business Development Manager - Surfacing & Civil Engineering ServicesIndustry Sector: Services, Surfacing, Civil Engineering Services, Civil Engineering, Construction, Infrastructure, Drainage Services, Surveying Services, Line Marking, Coatings, Landscaping, Blue Chip Company, Tier 1 Contractors, ContractorArea to be covered: North England (ideally based m62 corridor)Remuneration: £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience) + a potential of £65,000 commission (paid monthly)Benefits: £400 car allowance + comprehensive benefits packagesThe role of the Business Development Manager - Surfacing & Civil Engineering Services will involve:

  • Field sales position selling surfacing & civil engineering services such as drainage, landscaping, line marking, surveying, heavy civil works and coating protection
  • Working on predominantly car parks for big blue chip companies such as ASDA, BT, Tesco, Premier Inn and more
  • Other projects could include hospitals, retail, train stations, airports, council & local authority projects, service stations, road works
  • Dealing with order values typically ranging from £10k - £2m depending on size and scope
  • Once up and running will be targeted to achieve circa £10m turnover per year
  • Working closely with Key Account Managers, Marketing Manager and Business Development Director
  • Will be required to attend networking events and shows
    • The ideal applicant will be a Business Development Manager - Surfacing & Civil Engineering Services with:
  • Must have a go up and go personality
  • Break down doors, new business mentality
  • Must have experience in sales ideally in the construction, civil engineering, surfacing, roadworks market sectors
  • Ideally have sold a related surfacing & civil engineering service into large blue chip companies
  • Committed, consistent and eager to achieve bonus
