Job Description

Role:Business Development Manager (BDM) Energy ServicesLocation:Manchester Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30 Salary: £50,000 plus company car & bonus/commission packageA fantastic opportunity has now arisen for a Business Development Manager (BDM) Energy Services to join our client’s successful team in Manchester.About my clientMy client is a business to business asset hire & funding group of companies. Their assets represent over thirty thousand supply chain links across every industry. This role sits within my client’s Energy Solutions business which specialises in providing lowcarbon, renewable energy, and decarbonisation solutions for clients across the public and private sectors.Job OverviewThe Business Development Manager (BDM) will be supporting the Head of Business Development in achieving ambitious growth plans.This role will primarily be focused on new business and would suit a self-starter with a can-do attitude who has extensive knowledge and well networked across the energy sector, specifically with sales experience. Any of the following areas of expertisewould be advantageous – conventional power, distributed energy, solar PV/carport, EV charging, battery storage, LED lighting, district heating, combined heat & power, biomass, anaerobic digestion, heat pumps, hydrogen and onshore wind.The role will be based at my client’s office in central Manchester with travel to visit clients where required.Benefits:

What we would like from you:
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • A sales professional with a background in the energy sector – low carbon, renewable energy, and decarbonisation - Preferably from an engineering /energy products background. A minimum of 5-8 years energy experience is required
  • An experienced negotiator in face to face selling with an ability to close the sale’.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of personal presentation.
  • A mechanical /electrical engineering qualification would be ideal.
