Job Description

Job DescriptionOur Client one of the largest suppliers of Fixtures, Fittings & Equipment (FF&E) in the UK. The company manufacturers FF&E, producing large amounts of desking, storage, fitted furniture, task seating and soft seating ranges. Supplying clients with a diverse range of workplace and residential settings from a broad range of sectors. The company holds and has held for many years large public sector frameworks with Central & Local Government, NHS and Higher & Further Education Institutions.The company is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager specializing in the Healthcare Sector with the ability to engage with a large cross section of stakeholders across Primary Care and Secondary Care Institutions and Government Departments. The successful candidate will be able to identify and lead bids for large capital schemes and build a regular account base.Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with Snr Managers & colleagues to formulate an effective strategy for BD incl:
  • o Review of existing clients & opportunitieso Review & prioritise lead generation datao Offer suggestions for the expansion of the product portfolio & supply chaino Analyse existing marketing strategies & material and offer suggestions for improvemento Generate the right mechanisms & use existing KPI to review, appraise and effectively update the overall Business Development strategy
  • Pitching and presenting to potential new clients with varying profiles and from differing sectors and dealing with multiple client led stakeholders - A&D, Contractors & Multiple Departments
  • Being able to identify and promote different USP’s depending on the client
  • Working autonomously and with colleagues to deliver top quality Account Management to established and new clients
  • Co-Ordinating departments from Bid-Support, Design, Client Services through to Project Management & Delivery
  • Dealing with multiple clients across different institutions and applications for the product - varying in size, sophistication, and stakeholder profile
  • Assisting with the development of other members of staff
  • Keeping up to date on product and industry developments and being able to apply any relevance to the role and wider business
  • Always working to improve and offer a positive outward profile for the business
  • Abilities, Skills & Experience
  • 3-5 years Sales & Business Development experience in the Healthcare Sector & FF&E Industry or Demonstrably transferrable skills
  • Excellent communication skills across a broad range of stakeholders including written and verbal delivery
  • Comfortable in formulating an effective Sales & Marketing strategy with senior colleagues and understanding how to effectively execute the strategy, appraise and amend it
  • Experience in delivering pitches & presentations to clients across a broad spectrum of stakeholders
  • A keen interest in the sector
  • Commercial savvy & Intellectually agile to recognise issues and opportunity throughout the business itself and its client base
  • Robust and resilient, dealing pragmatically with the inevitable sales setbacks
  • A positive mindset with the ambition and drive to be successful
  • Good IT skills - incl the use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook / Excel / PowerPoint)
