Business Development Manager - £30,000 to £45,000 - ManchesterThe RoleDo you possess previous sales experience Are you tenacious, confident and an effective communicator Can you provide solution based on customers needs If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.We are a leading design and manufacturing company in the industrial computer and embedded field, looking to appoint a highly ambitious Business Development Manager to join our UK sales team.Reporting to the Sales Director. The BDM will develop and effectively oversee strategic and tactical sales to a portfolio of Key Account customers in a business-to-business sales environment. While managing existing accounts, the BDM will also focus on identifyingpotential Key Accounts, pursuing new sales opportunities, and other marketing activities to increase brand name recognition.Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of a Business Development Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and lead customer-specific sales & marketing plans. Participate at trade shows, seminars, customer events, and presentations.
  • Develop new Key Accounts in assigned vertical markets.
  • Generate and follow up leads with efficient means.
  • Make quotations, ability to confidently negotiate prices and contracts with key customers according to company policies and close the deal.
  • Build-up and consolidate the long-term relationships with Key Accounts. Plan Key Accounts visits or video calls. Prepare demo kits and material.
  • Focus on customers project development offering and create customer success. Ability to work closely with Key Account customers to understand their business requirements to ensure good commercial and service alignments.
  • Upselling Key Accounts, developing new projects and identifying opportunities for additional business. Increase existing product offerings and introduce new products to Key Accounts. Covering multiple sites and departments.
  • Experience in analysing customer purchasing patterns, product mix and margin performance. Attend business review meetings, share competitor information and market trends with the Group.
  • Coordinate with other sales teams to maximize benefits for the overall Group.
