Business Development ManagerThe Role: The role of Business Development Manager will see you partnering with a vast array of contract manufacturing clients across the North of the UK to deliver bespoke electronic component package solutions to their designs for theircustomer base. You will be selling to Design Engineers, Procurement Teams, and working alongside international manufacturing partners to provide the best electronic component supply solutions within any product which needs those kinds of parts. This is a projectled role and therefore requires a lot of organisation, project management skills, and relationship attributes to be successful.The Business Development Manager role is new business focussed and around 70% of your time will be cultivating new relationships with clients across the region. You will inherit a strong area which has a circa £2m existing client base. The aim of this roleis to expand the UK team and grow the Northern regions. This is a complex sell and thus The Business Development Manager is therefore given all the support required from Marketing, Inside Sales, and Engineering Teams to deliver the best solutions in the marketto increase share in the UK.The Company: Our client is a European leader in the manufacture of electronic components & PCBs used in a wide array of applications. They are going from strength to strength and are looking to grow their technical capability to give theircustomers a much better experience throughout the design stage of the process. They have recently invested in new premises in Manchester and are heavily investing in personal development for people coming into the business both professionally & technically.The Electronic Contract Manufacturing Division is huge in Europe and they have identified the UK as a real growth engine for them, this is the perfect time to join the journey.We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
  • Have a background in Electronics or Electronic Engineering sales
  • An appreciation of electronic technology
  • Have the ability to have commercial & technical discussions
  • Has the ability to read technical drawings
  • A real people person who has good communications skills
  • Comes from a project led sales background
  • Full & Clean Driving licence
Salary: £50k basic salary + £15k-20k OTE + Pension + Healthcare + Hybrid Company Car + Phone/Laptop + 22 days holidayCandidate Location: Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Carlisle, Glasgow, Edinburgh
