Job Description

Burman Recruitment are partnering with a prestigious university based in Manchester looking for a Business Change Manager to join their Strategic Projects team!The roleAs a Business Change Manager within the Strategic Projects team, your role entails leveraging your expertise to collaborate with business leaders. Together, you will strategise and execute a transformative change journey that captivates and energises stakeholders,encouraging enduring and effective adaptation.Key Responsibilities;

  • Craft compelling change journeys that inspire and empower stakeholders to embrace transformation.
  • Forge strong relationships throughout the organisation to ensure the smooth execution of the change agenda, collaborating closely with departments such as People and Organisational Development.
  • Collaborate with project and program teams to align the change plans objectives and milestones with broader project/program objectives.
  • Lead the development and implementation of stakeholder engagement and communication strategies that emphasise the change journey and its anticipated benefits.
  • Offer coaching and confidential support to change sponsors and leaders.
  • Assess risks impacting positive change experiences and adoption, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Evaluate organisational readiness for change and develop comprehensive transition plans to enhance adoption and sustainability.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on effective change management methodologies and strategies, offering guidance to individuals and teams as needed.
  • Stay updated on best practices in successful business change delivery and actively share insights internally and externally.
  • Exercise leadership and management responsibilities by effectively overseeing and guiding change-related resources within programs and projects.
Key experience & qualifications;
  • APMG Practitioner or similar qualification in Change Management
  • Demonstratable track record of successfully organising, managing and delivering complex change projects with positive outcomes.
  • Considerate communicator with excellent listening, advocacy and interpersonal skills to build trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of operating in complex HE or Public Sector type environments.
  • Experience of undertaking Change Impact Assessments and using the findings to inform the change management approach.
  • Works collaboratively across an organisation and with external parties.
