Job Description

Business AnalystManchester6 Month ContractUp to £600 a day, Inside IR35 DOEMy high-profile banking client is looking for a Business Analysts to join their team on an initial 6 Month Contract. The role is based in Manchester with the requirements to work Monday to Friday 9-5 on a 35-hour working week.Delivers and implements complex global operating models in a multi-phased manner, through the provision of project management and business analysis. Provides analytical expertise and problem solving in support of project objectives and timelines. Gathersand analyzes information to assist in development of recommendations to address Client and Business objectives for a specific business group or technology area.Daily Tasks

  • Identifies and manages goals, risks, issues and resources and ensures QA process is applied throughout each project/service lifecycle.
  • Oversees and monitors all client and business led change activity undertaken by a virtual team of project managers, acting as a sponsor where necessary.
  • Analyses, defines and prioritizes business requirements, based on Client requirements and user needs. Translates into functional design, test planning and user documentation.
  • Facilitates project meetings and workshops with External Clients and Internal Stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Produces both informational and decision-seeking reports, analyzes and/or presents outputs of the meetings to relevant parties for sign off.
  • Participates in the sales process by preparing RFP responses, giving sales presentations or joining sales meetings.
  • Monitors project process, risks and issues through weekly reports, CAIR log, project plans.
  • Escalates issues that will significantly impact project delivery to relevant parties. Assists more junior roles with issue resolution.
  • Provides consultation to the Client and the Business on applying technology to business opportunities and processes, including analyses, planning and implementation of functional applications or systems. Provides consultation to Clients and Internal Businessgroups on process-improvement projects designed to improve business results.
  • Manages project post-implementation reviews.
  • Communicates effectively and frequently with Project Initiators, Technology, Operations and/or the Client and ensures regular communication among these groups.
  • Stays abreast of organization and function operations and is familiar with company practices relevant to metrics, performance indicators, reporting protocols, etc.
  • Delivers complex internal and external projects or parts of larger projects.
  • Provide clear direction to staff managed in the course of a project, including where appropriate setting objectives at the start of a project and reviewing outcomes during and at the end of the project.
  • Manage communication with the various technology groups (including external suppliers) that provide services (directly or indirectly) to the business area, to ensure that related project activities in those groups are performed in line with agreed plansand budgets.
  • Define and manage any project/program budget with regular tracking
  • Steer and manage allocated projects and programs in order to ensure successful delivery and implementation within deadlines
  • Organise resources for project workshops/support with relevant managers in line with both business and project needs
  • Ensure quality controls are put in place in project plans and change control processes are implemented
  • Ensure project deliverables are capable of achieving the benefits defined in the Business case
  • Ensure all project commitments are met
  • Monitor and report on progress of projects
  • Evaluate potential risks and issues and establish appropriate actions/plans to mitigate them
Skills and Expertise
  • Regulatory change experience (5+ Years)
  • Technology background and Preferred
  • AxiomSL experience an advantage
  • COREP Liquidity or COREP Capital, or Resolution or Finrep and other local reporting an advantage
  • Expertise of working across the core Asset Servicing functions - Custody/Trustee, Transfer Agency & Fund Accounting
  • Evaluates situations using multiple sources of information
  • Fluent in English. Additional languages is an advantage
  • Prince II Practitioner or relevant job expertise / alternative qualification
  • Proficient with all aspects of Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience..
  • Governance, Project Management expertise or experience within one or more of the asset servicing functions is preferred
