awaze, europes largest holiday vacation rentals group.A family of iconic travel brands including Cottages.com, Hoseasons, Novasol and James Villa Holidays, since 2021, weve been on amazing technology & digital journey, the largest technology replatforming program in the travel industry.Our international product engineering teams are currently ripping up our entire estate and building brand-new products as we continue on our vision to deliver a single platform which will: delight our guests & owners; unify our brands; and create a culturethat cultivates collaboration, innovation and celebration.Our 2023 plans are huge, (50m investment, 50+ new hires) and upon joining us, youll be empowered to create an awazing career youre proud of, whilst having a big part to play in our journey.Do you want to join in the fun of transforming the travel industryPosition: Business Analyst (OneSource Team)What team will you be joiningAs we continue our journey to become a data first business, were investing heavily in our data strategy as we look at new ways to support our business in driving better commercial and operational outcomes.At the core of this strategy is the development of a new cross brand OneSource platform to unify analytics and reporting across our main brands, using modern cloud platforms including AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, Tableau and AtScale.What will your role be

• Ensure that the OneSource platform supports the business in delivering against our overall strategy and goals and deliver prioritised features and corresponding justification.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders (Revenue Management, Finance, Operations, Product and Marketing) to prioritise requirements to deliver new data assets for the group.
• Create epics and user stories that specify the features to be implemented.
• Look for new approaches to solve challenges and drive for continual improvement.
• Think about what the business needs to do to solve the challenge as well as the technology
• Work as part of a product team to address business issues and put appropriate solutions in place.
• Effectively document and explain new requirements to the Data Services team and using user stories and acceptance tests and help the teams to break down more complex pieces of work / epics into smaller tasks.
• Identify opportunities to release incremental value.
• Ensure understanding and communication of requirements throughout the delivery
• Work with the other core product teams to understand the implications of the broader tech transformation on the source systems providing data for the warehouse.
• Be an active member of the wider tech community within Awaze

What will you offerYoure an experienced Business Analyst thats not afraid to challenge the status quo to drive product and business value (seriously, we encourage it).

• Experience in technology-focused businesses in a Business Analyst role
• Experience in or familiarity working within a data warehousing team or project
• Experience using SQL to execute queries against a database (Snowflake and Microsoft SQL Server experience a plus)
• Great stakeholder management skills, including experience in dealing with remote colleagues, across business areas and levels.
• You love research and have discovery skills including analysis, usage reporting, data modelling, and testing.
• Collaboration is key, ability to take initiative whilst working collaboratively, a true team player with can do attitude.
• Strong attention to detail, highly methodical mind-set, aptitude to propose solutions.
• Natural curiosity about how things work and confidence with technical details.
• Results and delivery focused with an eye for quality and reusability.
