Job Description

Brewer- JW Lees Brewery, Middleton, Manchester - Up to £27,000JW Lees are excited to announce that were now recruiting for a Brewerto join our team based at our Greengate Brewery in Manchester.What we offer you as a Brewer:

Responsibilities:
  • Wort production in quantities up to 650hL/400bbl on the main brewhouse.
  • Supported operation of the experimental 16hL/10bbl on site microbrewery.
  • Yeast management including cropping, pitching and cell counts.
  • Ensuring high level of hygiene is maintained through CIP and housekeeping.
  • Keeping accurate and detailed records including fermentation charts including checks across weekends on a rota basis.
  • Adhering to health and safety, HACCP and food safety procedures.
  • Supporting with ad-hoc duties and responsibilities where necessary.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Enthusiastic passion for beer and a drive to implement positive change within the business
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and problem solve
Desirables:
  • Equivalent qualification to IBD General Certificate in Brewing (or working towards)
  • Work experience in commercial brewery
