Job Description

Branch Merchandiser - Up to £40,000 plus bonus, pension, private healthcare and further benefitsAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Branch Merchandiser to join the Head Office team of a leading and very successful international retail business. The company is expanding rapidly as a result of its success to date and if you would like the opportunityto bring your commerciality and eye for numbers to a place where you can make your mark and develop your career then this could be the right opportunity for you.The purpose of the role is to lead and develop the team to deliver sales, markdown, stock, intake and profit plans.The role

  • Working with the SMT to develop and present the Merchandising Strategy.
  • Be aware of all SMT and MT plans as they impact on store Planning.
  • Be the key driver in establishing a robust grading process.
  • Maintain rigor of grading at each buyer group and at appropriate times (quarterly).
  • Attend range reviews for all product categories.
  • Define the process by which Trading Merchandisers will formulate the range plan at Store level within their team.
  • Ensure that the pre-scheduling meets options and range plans at store level.
  • Working with property and retail to propose space plans for new and re-furb stores.
  • Prepare weekly overview of Store Performance, identifying Group Priorities and proposed activity to address any concerns.

  • Present conclusions to Head of Merch / Merchandise Director.
  • Attend Monday Trading Meeting and agree Store activity.
  • Review and manage stock build for new / re-furb stores.
  • Manage condensing of stock through the IBT process.
  • Be the first point of contact within Merchandising for store issues.
  • Co-ordinate a store visit programme for Buying and Merchandising.
  • Design a store visit preparation pack and reporting mechanism.
About youYou will have experience of working in a Branch Merchandising role within the retail industry. The ideal candidate will be extremely numerate with a keen eye for detail, have strong communication skills and be someone with a passion for product.The Benefits;
