VS370/09Bookings AdvisorPrivate HealthcareHours: 37.5 hours per week over a shift pattern between 8.00am and 8.00pm (Monday to Friday) and 9.00am3.00pm Saturdays (1 or 2 Saturdays a month)Salary:£20,000 - £22,000 per annum, plus commission, OTE £23,600 - £27,600Our Client is a rapidly growing independent, private health care provider based in the North West are offering the opportunity to join them as a Bookings Advisor.Their services and clientele are vastThey look after patients who want a quick and convenient medical appointmentwhether its a GP or Consultant appointment, a health screen, blood test, MRI scan or surgery , businesses who want to provide healthcarefor their employees, and people who are looking for cosmetic surgery.Priding themselves on delivering 5-star healthcare to all their patients and now looking to expand their team in-line with their ambitions to further grow the organisation.We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer focused, driven individual who can provide exceptional customer service (over the phone) to our patients.Their friendly team of 10 is based in a beautiful city centre office where they look after the enquiries and bookings for the medical side of their businessGP & Specialist consultations, blood tests, radiology appointments and more.Interaction with patients is across telephone, email and live chat.We are looking for someone with experience in a bookings or customer service environment. Healthcare experience is not necessary.Each day is different, the team is a mini family and theres lots of other perks to go alongside the job!Duties of this role include:

  • Book patient appointments in person or on the telephone and understand the necessary preparation needed for diagnostic scans and surgical procedures
  • Advise patients on the types of theatre procedures availablecosmetic surgery, gynaecology, urology, ENT, and more
  • Provide reception cover to patients, clinicians and other visitors
  • Coordinate and schedule appointments and follow-up appointments as designated by physicians
  • Deliver 5-star customer service to all clients
  • Obtain and manage all consultant / surgeon / doctor requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, physicians and other staff - within the Clinics & external facilities - providing accurate, timely, and responsive information
  • Coordinate processes and complete all paperwork as required to meet physician and facility requirements.
  • Demonstrate courtesy, empathy and helpfulness toward patients and their families
  • Various other tasks as required to be necessary for the needs of the business.
It is essential that applicants have the following:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service environment
  • Have a bubbly, outgoing personality and a genuine interest in people and the services offered
  • Any previous experience in a similar medical setting would be beneficial
  • Have an empathetic approach
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & customer service skills
  • Computer literate with good working knowledge of all MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to follow procedure and be a team player
  • Problem solver, with ability to think out of the box
  • Previous experience within a Private Healthcare role isnotessential and full training will be provided.
