Job Description

What you will doFrom a static state commission, the controls system and designated plant interfaces bringing the control system and plant to full operation such that it performs according to the project specification and designs.How will you do itAs part of Prime projects team, you will:

  • Review the project specification and designs and identify any commissioning issues
  • Work to the commissioning requirements and report any need to deviate from the existing design. Co-operate with the M&E commissioning engineers on site.
  • Liaise closely with the project manager to highlight any operational problems
  • Use safe systems of working and pay particular attention to the Electricity at Work Regulations, Health and Safety Regulations
  • Develop software programs, Graphics, commission and troubleshoot to ensure proper operations of the building control system
  • Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation
  • Select materials for assigned projects
  • Load and commission system and network-level controllers
  • Validate complete system functionality and troubleshoot problems with subcontractors
  • Manage and complete the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required.
  • Keep current accurate records of commissioning progress
What we look for:Required
  • 2+ years of experience in BMS Control systems
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or to related field
  • Previous experience in creating/updating BMS software and graphics
  • Good working knowledge of BMS Industry standards protocols
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Industry standard H&S certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • A passion for leading change within the team and become a role model amongst peers
  • Ability to work alone and when necessary, within a larger design team
  • Full clean UK Driving License
Preferred:
  • Professional Certifications/Diploma within the related field
  • Working knowledge of Metasys systems
  • Ability to Install BMS servers / workstations
