Job Description

Block ManagerSalary: Up to £35,000Location: Greater ManchesterCobalt have partnered with a unique and successful managing agent, who are looking for an experienced residential block manager to join the department and manage their own portfolio.This is an opportunity to join a customer service orientated business, who have created a new position to manage 3 large developments, in the Manchester area. The purpose of this position is to build and maintain strong working relationships with the clientsat each development, and then slowly grow the portfolio as you grow with the business.Key responsibilities include:

  • Looking after a portfolio in and around Manchester
  • Maintenance of the buildings and communal areas
  • Liaising with contractors regarding maintenance and major works
  • Site visits to ensure good building condition
  • Managing onsite staff, including concierge, cleaners and maintenance
  • Maintaining health and safety regulations and legislation
  • Producing and managing service charge budgets across the portfolio
Key skills required:
  • Experience managing properties
  • IRPM Qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong customer service and attention to detail
  • Extensive knowledge of the section 20 process and dealing with major works projects
