The administrator will be providing the following support to the Bereavement team:The post holder is responsible for co-ordinating and issuing the Medical Certificate Cause of Death and all associated duties. The post involves considerable contact with relatives and those associated with the deceased patient, Funeral Directors, Medical staff, Coroners Office, Trust employees and relevant outside agencies. The post holder must work to all Trust Policies, procedures, and legal requirements.The skills required are-Good word processing and spreadsheet, knowledge of using databases and ability to communicate by email.-To be able to priorities and manage own workload effectively.-Demonstrate good verbal communication skills to liaise with all levels of staff and the general public.-Full awareness of the importance of exercising confidentiality at all times.-Able to deal with the general public in a professional manor.-Able to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain good working relationships.-Be able to recognise and act to minimise stressful situations.-Must have a pleasant and approachable disposition.-Some flexibility in working timesMay be required in order to meet deadlinesNorth Manchester General Hospital is in Crumpsall in the North of the city and it is easily accessible via both car and public transport.
