Our client is seeking a Banking and Real Estate Finance Solicitor to join their Manchester, Greater Manchester offices on a Hybrid working basis.Overall Purpose:• To undertake a fee-earning role within the banking and real estate team of the firm.Key tasks, duties and quality standards in meeting department purpose/objectives:• Deliver excellent client service and manage and deliver banking and real estate finance transactions.• Strengthen relationships with clients, frequently acting as a direct point of contact. • Be involved in building and growing the business. • Be responsible for some management and delegation of work to and support of junior colleagues.• Effectively maintain and run a caseload as allocated by the Head of Department and other senior team members plus provide assistance to other fee earners as required.• Attend client meetings and networking/marketing activities as required.• Ensure that team and personal targets in respects of time recording, costs and billable hours are achieved.• Drafting and negotiating finance documents and related conditions precedent as required and assist the department in establishing and managing precedent documentation.• With support and guidance from the team, undertake real estate title reviews and produce reports and advice to Team clients.• To work with the Team and the Head of the Department to promote and grow the Team’s offering to new and existing clients, particularly with real estate finance instructions.• Working with high-profile clients and help build on the existing relationships together with colleagues in real estate, tax, corporate and construction for their expertise on those aspects.• Acting for a variety of banks and other lending institutions, including HNW lenders, lending across a number of sectors including student accommodation, hotels, offices, retail and logistics.• At all times comply with all relevant legislation and regulations as directed by the firm (e.g. client confidentiality, anti-money laundering, Solicitors’ Regulation Authority and The Law Society rules, Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, Data Protection Act, etc.).Person SpecificationEssential• 2+ years’ experience in a banking and real estate finance role.• Experience of using case management systems (preferably Partner for Windows or similar).• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, databases and Excel.• Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.• Professional and helpful manner.• Able to carry out tasks independently and show initiative.Desirable• Knowledge and experience of corporate finance.• Knowledge and experience of development finance.Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal Recruitment Limited.Please Note: Due to the number of applications we receive we may be unable to respond to every application directly.
