Job Description

Every patient will receive individualised, clean, and safe treatment from us at all times.About the role and what you will need to be:

  • Qualified Clinical Psychologist with current UK HCPC registration.
  • To provide Psychology services for patients with chronic pain, within the Manchester & Salford Pain Centre (MSPC).
  • To conduct advanced assessment of complex chronic pain patients to determine clinical diagnosis and intervention, and to maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • To be autonomous in planning and providing for the psychological needs of chronic pain patients according to current best practice guidelines.
  • To contribute to the development of clinical protocols, outcome measurement and internal audit, undertake R & D activities, and to evaluate own clinical practice.
  • To act on behalf of patients by communicating with NHS clinicians and other health organisations.
  • An enthusiasm for working, with a very positive attitude
