Role - Automation LeadDuration - 6 monthsLocation - ManchesterPurpose of Job:We are changing the way we test our software, moving from a manual test dependant process to adopting the agile mindset and associated principles. Leading the way to an automated future state. You will drive test standards across the business, Build andmanage strong relationships between stakeholders, technology and associated third parties. The Chapter Lead is responsible for: Developing Talent - you will lead technical talent within each of the tribes, guiding career pathways: evaluating and promotingtalent. As part of the new Test Chapter Automation guild, you will be responsible for establishing testing best practice. Lead junior testers of varying levels within the chapter, inspiring them with new tools, approaches and models whilst also highlightinglimitations. At the same time, we would expect the Automation Lead to participate in programs as a subject matter expert within their specific functional discipline across a multitude of change projects. Building reliable and repeatable test frameworks inconjunction with our technology partners covering all aspects of the SDLC. However, and most importantly, you will empower people to be their best, driving change and leading the test chapter and its members, to achieving their goals.You are:

• Able to perform Investigations and assessments into new testing techniques, approaches, tools and technology.
• Actively getting involved in new Proof-of-Concept activities as directed by Principals and Leads.
• Assisting with the implementation of Tribe-based testing solutions of their applications and integration with Chapter framework.
• Delivering optimisations of our end-to-end deliverables to maintain low levels of hosting costs.
• Working alongside more junior testers to assist in their upskilling and development in line with results-based goals defined by the chapter lead/s
• Running regular workshops to update our test team/tribe on contemporary test practices and solutions
• Ability to critically analyse established best practices and provide more viable testing solutions.
• Encourages people to challenge and improve the way things are done to improve outcomes for our customers.
• Have a testers mindset: Consider the why, the how and the what!

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Requirements:

• ISTQB certified (analyst or automation cert would be preferred/working towards)
• Proven experience in Test Automation.
• Knowledge of Test Automation tools and practices.
• Experienced in developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts, suites and associated test data.
• Able to build / support building new test automation frameworks
• Comfortable in leading and driving improvements in the test space.
• Experience in differing types of automated and manual testing
• Understands Agile methodology
• Knowledge of: GITlab, maven, NextGen, Cucumber, Eclipse, Oxygen
