Audio Visual Technician within a prestige HotelBasic up £20,000 - £22,000 per annum overtime and bonus available (OTE £26K)Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm with some weekend work requiredLocation: Manchester City CentreMiGrowth is currently working with a leading technical production company who are expanding their teams and require an AV Technician based at a prestige venue in Manchester.Our client is a full service technical solutions provider to the live event industry. They provide equipment and support to live event clients including Event Management and Production Companies throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. Specifically the companysupplies Sound, Light, Vision, Stage, Power and Media.Job purpose:To provide technical advice and support to a number of hotels we work in partnership with, including upselling our clients services where possible.Key responsibilities and accountabilities:To service all AV requirements as requested by clients through the hotel events teamTo offer technical advice and support to the venues AV ManagerEnsuring that all kit is set up neatly and to a high standard.To keep an on-going stock check of equipment stored on site.To undertake basic maintenance and repairs of all venue based equipmentTo work with the hotels operations staff at the hotel to ensure each room has the correct set up of AV equipmentTo operate events as neededTo help the venue AV Manager supervise any freelance staff who are working on our behalfTo service AV equipment for a number of venues in the areaTo cover our venues when our other AV Managers are on Holiday, so flexibility to travel and stay away from time to time will be requiredThe Applicant:The successful candidate will need to have a proven interest in the live event industry, ideally with hands on knowledge of audio visual, sound, lighting, rigging, set and staging equipment.Experience in a related roleHands on technical knowledgeKnowledge and experience of the hotel conference industry would be an advantageThe ability to self manage and self motivate whilst working in a teamGood person management skillsThe ability to take your own initiativeTo be client facing and well presentedThe flexibility to work overtime as required and at short noticeAttention to detail and a pride in their workTo be hard working and enthusiasticBe computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Visio, Word, and OutlookAll applicants send CVS to Louise Wright Director Sales & MarketingMiGrowth is an established and industry accredited Sales & Marketing Recruitment Consultancy.
