End Date Monday 18 December 2023 Salary Range £77,301 - £85,890 We support agile working – click here for more information on agile working options.Agile Working Options Hybrid Working Job Description Summary You’ll form part of our Portfolio Analytics & Insights’ newly created Customer Value team, whose primary focus is enhancing value creation for BCB (Business & Commercial Banking) customers. We want to achieve this through three main levers (i) by leading engagement with credit (on behalf of BCB) on credit policies, risk appetite and risk modelling, (ii) by improving our capability through partnering with credit, platforms & CDAO (Customer DataAnalytics Office) to deliver strategic data led solutions, and (iii) by driving value through identifying opportunities to optimise RoTE (Return on Tangible Equity). The role will have a wide stakeholder network, across BCB, CIB (Corporate Institutional Banking), GCOO (Group Chief Operating Office), as well as Risk (primarily Credit & Decision Science) to deliver its objectives. A critical part of the role will be to proactivelyengage with product and coverage teams to understand their (analytical) needs and to bring key data & capabilities to those teams.   • Develop a deep understanding of the Banking & Commercial Banking credit performance and its relative position in the wider market and vs. competitors
  • Analyse data and providing valuable insight into the credit performance of the portfolio, to support credit appetite & policy discussions
  • Proactively engage with product, coverage and credit teams to support the prioritisation of business activities across Business Banking & Commercial.
We’d like you to possess:
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to present complex information simply
  • Lateral thinking & ability to find creative solutions
  • Financial analysis skills. Ideally, you’ll be comfortable importing & analysing data from various sources using SQL & SAS (or Python) and making recommendations based on your analysis
  • Experience of SME or retail credit underwriting modelling and approaches
