An exciting opportunity has become available to work for our client who is looking for a high calibre individual to join their team as an Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent basis. The role will be responsible for transactional finance for both the UK and US parts of the business and offers excellent exposure to a variety of accounts processes including sales ledger, purchase ledger, inventory management, reconciliations, VAT and staff expenses. This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive finance team always looking for continuous improvement opportunities within an organisation targeting significant growth.Reporting to the Operational Business Partner, the key responsibilities of the role will fall broadly into the following areas: DUTIES OF ROLE* Prepare management information including inventory and spend reporting * Support the Operational Business Partner to provide variance analysis* Assist in the preparation of month end accounts to a strict timetable and focus on streamlining processes * Preparation and submission of the VAT return and other external reporting* End to end completion of accounts for the US subsidiary* Manage the processing of employee expenses* Assist with the budgeting process* Take a leading role in inventory management by performing regular counts* Perform reconciliations of balance sheet control accounts* Assist in responding to audit queries* Assist in performing due diligence for acquisitions * Support the Operational Business Partner with the implementation of a new ERP into other companies within the group.EDUCATION/TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE* Qualified AAT looking to progress their career and qualification, finance graduate or CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier* Good knowledge of excel and accounting software * Strong analytical and data analysis skills* Experience of working in a multi-currency environmentPERSONAL ATTRIBUTES* Ability to communicate effectively* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Able to work to deadlines and plan own time* Strong teamworking skills* Progressive thinker with the ability to see opportunities for improvementsBENEFITS* Competitive salary * Generous holiday entitlement (33 days incl. bank holidays)* Company bonus* Free Parking* Subsidised canteen* PensionTHE COMPANYA PE backed leading manufacturer of advanced materials and components, providing its customers with advanced material solutions that ensure high performance and peace of mind in extremely demanding industrial applications and environments.
