Job Description

Page Personnel are recruiting for a commercial driven Assistant Management Accountant on behalf of a global, creative merchandising business with its European finance team located in Trafford Park.The purpose of this role is to work with the Management Accountant and Finance Business Partner to deliver results and financial analysis for their portfolio.Client DetailsOur client is a global, creative merchandising business with its European finance team located in Trafford Park.The working climate in the office is informal however the business works hard and is keen to support the successful applicant in this role with becoming a qualified accountant.The business also offers global development and secondment opportunities.DescriptionDuties include:

  • Prepare, analyse and provide commentary for client sales and margin as part of the month end process.
  • Run and complete month end tasks including posting journals, performing relevant analysis and preparing month end management information packs.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations that are under your remit. Raising journals where necessary and highlighting any potential risks and opportunities.
  • Build key relationships with financial and non-financial internal stakeholders, including Account Managers and Directors, to develop your understanding of the business and provide insightful analysis.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to provide high quality information to our customers.
  • Take ownership of any actions that arise from the monthly reviews and find suitable solutions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide support for the annual sales and margin budgets and reforecasts as and when required, working together with the Finance Business Partner and the Account Managers.
  • Assist and collaborate with the audit process by understanding and fulfilling the Auditors requests within the required deadlines. Keeping information and processes maintained throughout the year to ensure a well prepared and seamless audit.
  • Use existing experience to add value within the Finance department and across the business by suggesting improvements to processes and controls.
  • Perform the role with a customer-focused outlook striving to provide our internal stakeholders with the best possible service.
ProfileThe successful Assistant Management Accountant candidate will:
  • Have a proven track record in a similar role
  • Be part qualified with ACA / ACCA / CIMA or be at AAT level 4
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel (Vlookups, pivot tables etc)
  • Be able to interact effectively with all levels of the business including stakeholders.
Job OfferA salary of £28,000 - £32,000 plus study support, 25 days holiday, hybrid & flexible working, pension & more.
