Global engineering business are seeking a talented assistant management accountant to join their established finance function located in Wythenshawe.As the assistant management accountant, you will report Into the financial controller, and will contribute towards the accurate and timely production of financial information for both the region and wider Group. Its an important role that will support transformativecompany strategies while promoting continuous improvement.Your responsibilities will include:* Control and maintenance of the fixed asset register, including the recognition and accounting for all additions and disposals.* Preparation and accounting of all business establishment costs, including rent, rates, service charges and insurance costs.* Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger for all responsible accounts, with their balance sheet reconciliations.* Liaise with external auditors for the interim and year-end financial audits.* Assist in the improvement and implementation of internal control procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information and mitigation of risks.* Support the UKII weekly cash forecasting to Group Treasury and optimisation of cash balances.* Support the company credit card programme and payment approvals.* Communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders, providing timely and accurate information to support commercial decision-making, effectively influencing decisions and building trust throughout the business.* Proactively and flexibly support the projects to grow the business and its margins, while controlling costs. * Comply with all company policies, procedures, legal obligations as well as Health & Safety requirements.To be considered for this role:* Proven experience in a similar accounting role.* Multi-site experience.* IT Literate - Microsoft Office.* Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and work to strict reporting deadlines.* Proven track record of driving change and improving business processes.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* A proactive self-starter who is comfortable working at pace, with an open and inclusive style.* Active listener with the ability to communicate at all levels within the business.* Work experience in Industrial Services, Wholesale, Distribution or Engineering (preferred).For more information on this exciting assistant management accountant position within a established engineering business based in Wythenshawe, or any other finance roles in Greater Manchester or the surrounding area, please contact Dan Collins on or alternativelycall +Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
