Job Description

Assistant Management Accountant/ AAT Qualified or Graduate Studying ACCA or CIMA/ Study Support/ Career Development/ Excellent Benefits and Industry Discounts / Agile WorkingI am working on a newly created role that will suit somebody who is either studying AAT or a Graduate keen to start their ACCA/ CIMA studies.My client is looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to support multiple venues within their group business. This role will support the European arm of a globally operating organisation and can offer excellent exposure within an interesting and handson environment and sector. This role will require somebody with a confident and vibrant personality to join a forward thinking and progressive team.   • Assist with providing high quality MI and detailed commercial financial analysis of business operations to support effective decision making.
  • Attend monthly meetings with Department Heads to discuss financial results and forecasts.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual departmental budgets for multiple business sites
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly reforecasts for multiple business sites
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly packs for monthly Business Review and attend meeting.
  • Assist with the preparation of MI for the wider European Group Finance team.
  • Prepare settlements, flash and sales reports for multiple venues
  • Prepare and update weekly performance trackers
  • Assist with the preparation of reports for landlords and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare month end journals and post to the finance system
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support with the preparation of audit files and audit queries.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations as required for multiple accounts
  • Prepare workings for quarterly VAT returns
  • Calculation of rebate payments
  • Carry out safe and petty cash counts and reconciliations.
  • Ad hoc project work as directed by the Commercial Accountant and Finance Business Partner.
Requirements:
  • Relevant finance qualifications (Degree/ AAT qualified/ or studying towards either AAT/ CIMA or ACCA qualifications)
  • Previous experience in a varied finance role with exposure to month end accounting and MI reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills and computerised system skills including formulas and ideally macros.
  • The desire to progress and develop an accounting career and commit to the continuation of studies
  • Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure to agreed deadlines, working reactively and proactively.
  • Have excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
  • Have a confident personality with the ability to make effective decisions
  • Be an excellent team player who can work well as part of a wider finance team
  • A positive and proactive mentality and approach
