Job Description

Assistant Cost Engineer - £35,000 - £45,000Manchester City Centre - Flexible working after probation.Manchester Staffare currently working with a well-established construction consultancy focused on civil engineering and infrastructure. Our client works on major UK projects worth on average £200m but have been as large as £10bn.The successful Cost Engineer will work to develop cost estimates for major civil engineering projects and provide risk analysis. You will act in the interest of the UK Government, Local Authorities or main contractors to help them minimise risk and cost.The company take pride in their service led delivery of project and are well known for their integrity and professionalism. Similar values within candidates are highly desirable. The company will invest in top tier professional development, providing withvery high standard of RICS training, with further education/certifications available too.This role is initially office based in Manchester City Centre but flexibility will be offered after probation (6 months).Candidate Profile:

  • 1-3 Years Cost Estimating or QS Experience preferred.
  • Water or Highways experience attractive but not essential.
  • Consultancy or Main Contractor experience beneficial
  • Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveyor Degree preferable
  • Collaborative workers, service driven not profit led.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication and presenting skills.
