Job Description

Following the promotion of a finance team member; our client is now looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join the business as part of their expanding Team. This is a great role for those who have previous accounts experience (purchase or salesledger) and are looking for a permanent role that offers the next step towards qualification. Based in the City Centre, your duties will include the following:

  • Assisting with the preparation of divisional management accounts
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Conduct weekly Bank reconciliations
  • Weekly cash forecasting
  • Assisting with Accounts payable and receivables
  • Cashbook management and bank reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Assisting with VAT
  • Assisting the team with Payroll and Expenses
This is a varied and busy role within a fast-paced, privately owned business. Due to the recent sustained growth and expansion of the organisation, our client suggests the incumbent will have the opportunity to develop the role giving further exposure tomonth-end duties including management accounts and statutory financial reporting.The ideal candidate will be a graduate or AAT student with intentions to study towards a chartered qualification (ACCA/CIMA). While no system experience is necessary, working knowledge of Excel (pivots, basic formulas) would be preferred.This is a busy and demanding role though the rewards and exposure are limitless.
