Job Description

Role : Assistant AccountantLocation : Manchester (Central, M2)Salary : £28-30k+Hello ! We are looking for a qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualification experience on a Full-Time, Permanent basis who can work in a firm with approx. 45+ staff. The Company has a substantial and ever-expanding base of clients and areseeking an experienced accountant to join their team.The role involves:- Cashiering duties including posting of receipts to debtors ledger, petty cash administration, supplier payments. Raising invoices to customers and subsequent posting to ledger. Maintaining debtors ledger. Issuing periodic statements to debtors and chasing payments. Coding and processing of purchase invoices. Supplier statement reconciliations. Monthly bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations to general ledger. Checking, coding, and posting of expenses. Investigation of customer and supplier queries. Assisting Management Accountant in ad hoc duties.To carry out this role we would expect you:- To have at least 3 years experience in a similar environment/role. To be experienced in using Sage line 50 and Microsoft Office Excel and Word. To be self-motivated, flexible, organised, and able to work under pressure and to deadlines. To have strong written and communication skills.
