Job Description

A house builder and developer led sales role, securing specifications for underground drainage projects within the new-build housing sector.Package: circa £40k basic + OTE, car, laptop, mobile, pension and 23 days holiday Territory: North of England, with the emphasis on Yorkshire and the North West Products: Underground drainage and plumbing systems, including rainwater harvester, soil & waste and attenuationCustomers: Regional house builders, larger developers & contractors, groundworkers and architectsThe Role - Area Specification Manager:

  • A specification sales role, tracking and winning new-build housing projects
  • Promoting their full range of underground drainage, plumbing and rainwater systems
  • The emphasis will be on working with regional house builders, larger developers and contractors
  • With a 25-30% focus on securing specification with architects, including the delivery of CPD seminars
  • Inheriting a project bank and portfolio of accounts to work from, although the role will still be 70% new business led
  • You will also work alongside the regional ASMs, who manage the relationship with the merchants, and will back-sell your projects
    • The Successful Applicant:
  • Firstly and most importantly you will have a proven track record of selling building materials into the regional house builder sector
  • Applicants with drainage backgrounds will be readily received, although this is not required
  • Most importantly you will have a new business approach to specification and contract sales
  • With excellent presentation and communication skills
