Area Sales Manager - Indoor & Outdoor TilesJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Indoor & Outdoor TilesIndustry Sector: Porcelain, Ceramics, Indoor Tiles, Outdoor/ Landscaping Tiles, Builders Merchants, Kitchen and Bathroom Showrooms, Tile ShopsArea to be covered: North WestPostcodes: BB, BD, BL, BT, LA, DG, FY, HD, HX, IM, L, LA, M, OL, PR, WA & WNRemuneration: £45,000 Neg. + 15%-20% BonusBenefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car & Full Corporate Benefits PackageThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Indoor & Outdoor Tiles will involve:

  • Field sales role selling a distributed range of ceramic and porcelain indoor and outdoor tiles as well as grouts and adhesives
  • Selling independent builders merchants, kitchen & bathroom showrooms and tile retailers
  • Taking over an area achieving £1m+
  • Tasked with achieving 10% year on year growth
  • Typically three days a week on the road visiting customers, 2 days working from home setting appointments/ admin etc.
  • Predominantly an account management role
  • Responsible for circa 155 branches (including Jewson branches), a mix of accounts that are actively managed and some unmanaged currently
  • Building more robust relationships with the accounts already trading to generate growth
  • Looking to new opportunities across the territory.
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Indoor & Outdoor Tiles with:
  • Ideally field sales experience from the tile industry
  • If not sold tiles, must have sold into independent builders merchants or kitchen & bathroom showrooms
  • Robust and proven account management/ account development experience
  • Excellent territory planning skills
  • Customer focussed, personable character with excellent relationship building skills
  • Ability to sell it what can be at time a "spit and sawdust" environment, whilst also maintaining your professionalism
  • Ability to cold call to arrange meetings
  • Must be IT literate
