Area Sales Manager - Floor & Wall TilesJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Floor & Wall TilesIndustry Sector: Tiles, Wall Tiles, Floor Tiles, Floor & Wall Tiles, Porcelain Tiles, Ceramic Tiles, Bathroom Products, Interior Bathroom Products, Area Sales Manager, Sales Manager, Sales, Bathroom Showrooms, Tile Showrooms, Bathroom Retailers, IndependentRetailers, DistributionArea to be covered: North England Ideally based: M62 CorridorRemuneration: £33,000 - 35,000 + 1-2% of all salesBenefits: Mercedes van & full benefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Floor & Wall Tiles will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a large manufactured and distributed premium range of porcelain wall and floor tiles to predominantly independent tile & bathroom retailers
  • Majority of your time will be spent selling into independent tile & bathroom retailers and large bathroom & tile showrooms
  • The remaining smaller portion will be spent generating specifications / selling directly to developers (depends where youre expertise lie)
  • Majority of your time will be spent generating new business however will be given circa 50-60 showroom / retailer accounts to manage
  • Inheriting an area achieving circa £250-£300k with the capability of £500k+
  • Will be required to present product portfolio
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Floor & Wall Tiles with:
  • Must have tile or bathroom industry related field sales experience (ideally a porcelain / ceramic tile products)
  • Must have experience selling to tile / bathroom showrooms and retailers
  • Must be able to manage your own territory
  • Must be able to generate new business
  • Tons of energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong innumeracy, and sound commercial acumen with ability to negotiate with often strong characters within the building trade
  • Go getter with roll sleeves up mentality
