Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Construction Rental ServicesJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Construction Rental ServicesIndustry Sector: Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, Housebuilders, Local Authorities, Social Housing, Care Homes, Car Dealerships, Site Managers, QSs, Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Construction and Hire industryArea to be covered: North West & YorkshireRemuneration: £35,000-£40,000 Neg. + up to £12,000 BonusBenefits: Fully expensed car + benefits packageThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Construction Rental Services will involve:

  • Field sales role, providing temporary, mobile CCTV Towers
  • Our client rents their CCTV Security Towers to the construction industry, specifically Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers, Project Managers contractors and housebuilders
  • 90% targeting main contactors/ housebuilder construction sites
  • 10% a variety of other customers including; local authorities, social housing, car dealerships, housebuilders
  • Typically presenting to Site Managers and Project Managers before getting signed off with QSs Quantity Surveyors
  • One tower typically hires for £5,000-£8,000 on a 12 month contract, on average customers have been using 2 towers per construction site
  • Once established in the role (3-6 months) you will be targeted to achieve circa 6 tower hire sales per month
  • Proactive new business role, although you will retain all customer revenue
  • Competitive tendering and maximising reactive opportunities
  • Following up on leads/appointments set by the office and also Barber ABI and Glennigans
  • Working as part of a fast growing team
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Construction Rental Services with:
  • Construction rental field sales experience
  • Must have sold to main contractors or housebuilders
  • Ideally dealt with Quantity Surveyors, Site Managers, Project Managers
  • CCTV industry experience is not essential
  • Access control, security products and building material backgrounds are all of interest
  • Comfortable filling in tender forms/ documentation
  • IT/ CRM savvy
  • Construction site experience
  • Hire sales experience
