Job Description

Role: Area Sales ManagerSector: Construction Materials: Manufacturer of fire protection and high performance insulation materialsRegion: North West England & North Wales: Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, Cheshire and North WalesPackage: £40,000-£45,000 plus bonus (up to 25% of salary) and annual car allowance of £6,600Description:Market-leading manufacturer of fire protection and insulation solutions, dry-lining materials, partitioning and suspended ceiling systems.Targeting the residential and commercial sectors they have an opening for an Area Sales Manager targeting Architects, Specifiers, Developers, Main Contractors and sub-contractors across the North West England & North Wales Region.Working alongside the specification team the Area Sales Manager role will focus on safeguarding the specification, tracking and pricing projects and developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients at all levels.Managing an extensive area and a large multi-million pound sales budget this role requires a proven Sales Manager from within the Construction Materials Supply Sector.Experience within fire protection, acoustic / thermal insulation materials is beneficial but by no means essential; the focus is on finding a proven External Sales / Business Development professional, with the drive and aptitude to succeed.This position is ideal for someone looking to work within a fast paced sales role; an individual with the ability to develop technical knowledge of products quickly.As Area Sales Manager you will ensure that our client delivers its market strategy, achieving the best commercial performance of their brands within the guidelines laid down by the management team. You will also

  • Ensure face to face customer contact is maintained with key existing and prospective customers in the commercial sector for all brands.
  • Manage the relationship with sub-contractors and key personnel in the distribution sector and ensure commercial projects are won by supporting specifications as well as discretional business.
  • Identify new market opportunities and feedback market intelligence to the business.
  • Update CRM daily with project tracking information, customer call details and demonstrate effective diary management aligned with the rating and ranking report for the area.
