Job Description

THE COMPANY:Our client is a global market leader in the design and manufacture of aftermarket products and due to continued success, they are looking for an additional Area Sales Manager to join their team.Based in the North, covering Liverpool, Chester, Manchester, South Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Lincoln.THE JOB:The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for managing existing account and winning new business; overall customer and geographic management within the allocated channels and area.Key responsibilities:

  • Successfully promote and sell all product ranges into new and existing customers through all the relevant distribution channels
  • Organising sales visits with existing and new customers
  • Accountable for achieving area sales targets
  • Managing customer pricing and margin in line with price policy
  • Report and log all customer interactions and provide professional presentations on all current activities
  • Increase the number of customers selling products within the territory
  • Continually develop and maintain a healthy prospect data base within the area
  • Delivering a first-class customer service at all times
  • Updating and maintaining CRM
  • THE PERSON:As the Area Sales Manager you will have sold to distributors within the automotive aftermarket.My client is looking for experienced sales managers who can offer a consultative approach to manage and grow a large portfolio of SME accounts across the geographical region.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets and KPIs
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and tenacious
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent customer service skills, account management as well as winning new business
  • Able to communicate at all levels, influencing relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Computer literate - Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
