This is a genuine alternative to university for people whohave a passion for engineering and who want to launch their career with us.We are seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team as an apprentice Projects Planner.   • Learn the ins and outs of project planning and project control services throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • On-the-Job Work Experience: Youll spend significant time at our client sites, where youll learn how to effectively utilize project planning software to create comprehensive project plans and schedules.
  • Collaboration with Qualified Engineers: Throughout your apprenticeship, youll work closely with qualified Johnson Controls Engineers who will serve as mentors, guiding you in developing your engineering skills. This collaborative environment ensures thatyou receive the support and guidance needed to succeed in your role.
  • This is a field-based position where regular travel is a requirement of the role.
  • Hit the road with your own company van, traveling daily to client premises.
  • Opportunities for Growth: Throughout your apprenticeship, youll have the opportunity to grow and apply the skills and knowledge gained in college in a real workplace setting. You will be working closely with our experienced engineers, many of these engineershave also been through our apprenticeship scheme so they are the perfect mentors to guide you through the apprenticeship.
  • This learning approach ensures that you develop both technical competencies and practical skills essential for success in the project planning world.

Training and Qualifications:
  • You will be enrolled on a level 3 Project controls technician qualification delivered by our training partners Train’d up.
  • College Attendance: You will be enrolled on a level 3 Project Controls Technician Qualification. Youll attend college on either a day release or block release basis, depending on your location and the colleges scheduling.
  • Travel and Accommodation: If youre required to stay away from home for college or work-related purposes, the company will cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and meals. This ensures that you can focus on your education and training without financialburden.
  • Numerous internal training courses.
  • IOSH safety training.
  • CSCS training.
Career Progression:
  • Upon completion, a number of internal opportunities within the company will be available to you. All of our apprentices immediately move into full time permanent positions.
Qualifications Required:
  • GCSE or equivalent in English (Grade 5)
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths (Grade 5)
  • Full Driving Licence is essential.

  • Availability to travel regularly as this is a field-based role.

What happens next
  • Suitable candidates will have a screening call with a recruiter to discuss the position and provide necessary documentation. Afterward, you will be invited to an assessment centre in May, assessment centres typically include a combination of activities suchas group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, and presentations.
  • Within 48 hours of the assessment centre, candidates will receive a response regarding the outcome of their application. If successful, they can begin the apprenticeship on September 2, 2024.
