Your next challenge will be working across the team to develop system interfaces with datatransfer solutions to allow their systems to work together, building a controlled software solution. Who our next Application Support Engineer will be working with - Reporting to the Head of ICT, you will work with a friendly and close-knit team of six to support not just the broader organisation, but help each other obtain their goals of high customer IT satisfaction You will be collaborating with different departments, stake holders and partners by providing 3rd line support. You will help lead and assist with effect implementations of system solutions to maximise effective use of solutions throughout the businessWhat your day-to-day responsibilities as an Application Support Engineer will look like - Make positive contributions to the development lifecycle of systems and services in order to provide an effective and operational relationship between softwares, using design and development solution tools via analysing, programming and testing. You will assist with documentation and key procedures relating to the system design, set up, maintenance in line with industry best practice and GDPR You will act as the right-hand man or woman for the Technical Services Manager for any infrastructure related activities, and may even become a mentor to help train members development Producing and creating documents on system design, maintenance, scripting and reporting tools. Provide 3rd Line support, recording and documenting queries and resolving them to the best standardWhat experience do we need In order to be the best Application Support Engineer, this role requires someone who has experience within a similar role that involves the development, maintenance and analysis of infrastructure and systems. A professional qualification in a related IT field such as - HND/HNC ; or MCICTP/ MSCSE or equivalent ICTIL foundation qualification Experience using SQL server suite products such as; SSMS ; SSRS ; SSIS Experience with SQL, HTML, Powershell and Crystal Reports Experience creating and amending reports VMWARE, SAN, M365 plus knowledge of cloud services is an advantage but not essential. 3rd line support experienceWhat we can offer you! Competitive salary of up to GBP36,000 for 35 hours per week Agile working business - flexibility to work form home or from state of the art offices in South Manchester. Enhanced holidays, 33 days pro-rata per annum including bank holidays. This will rise to 38 days after 5 years service Life insurance, 1 time annual salary (additional 3 times annual salary if in the pension scheme!)
