Job Description

Android Developer - Hybrid (Manchester) - Kotlin - Jetpack Compose - Up to £60k - Extensive Benefits PackageSummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Developer to join our clients growing team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Android development, and a strong understanding of the Android ecosystem,including strong knowledge of Kotlin and ideally Jetpack Compose too.Who Are TheySpecialising in cyber security this Manchester based company are on the hunt for a talented Android developer to join a highly successful mobile development team. Following fresh investment from going IPO 12 short months ago they are investing in the techteam from all angles, with some very exciting projects on the horizon.Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned with defined architecture and standards
  • Work closely with the product team to understand end-user requirements and use cases
Requirements:
  • Strong experience with Java and Android SDK, as well as Kotlin
  • Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Strong understanding of Androids design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON
  • Experience with Git
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate with team members
