Job Description

**Android Developer** (Contract)Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for Extension)Location: Hybrid/ManchesterRate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day rate is available for suitable candidatesWhat we expect from youWe are looking for someone who has extensive experience with the Android platform and is motivated to constantly refresh their knowledge of mobile technology.Skills & Experience RequiredEssential:

  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin and Java
  • Experience delivering performant Android applications via the Google Play Store
  • Experience with Test Driven Development
  • Experience integrating with RESTful APIs
  • Source Control/Configuration management (e.g. GIT).
  • Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Passion for continuous improvement and building a world-class engineering team.
Desirable:
  • Experience of Android Material Design
  • Knowledge of architectural patterns
  • Designing and building RESTful services
  • Monitoring and support of live apps using appropriate tools
